Greenwich Peninsula

London 2008

Peninsula Quays shows the value of an urban design-led approach on a very dense high rise riverside site. The combination of forms creates a mini mixed urban quarter at the gateway to Meridian Gardens. It offers a choice of premium, intermediate and social apartments, with a variety of internal spaces and apartment types from high rise penthouses with panoramic glazing, through those which spill out onto open terrace, to low rise and courtyard-facing aspects.

The forms minimise the impact of shadows across neighbours and generate a rich and varied ground plane that echoes the intriguing urban grain that waterfront sites tend to acquire over time – and which encourages a diverse pattern of public uses.
