Thorsten graduated from the Technical University in Munich before working on a variety of public and education projects. He took a two-year post-graduate course on architecture and urban design at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich.
He came to London in 2006, registering with the Architects Registration Board in 2007 while working for Keith Williams Architects. He was involved with the County Library in Clones and the Festival Opera in Wexford, Republic of Ireland.
Since joining Patel Taylor in 2008 Thorsten has been working on large residential schemes in Greenwich and the Athletes Village, Stratford. Following these projects he joined the teams for the Eastside City Park, Birmingham, Phoenix SEN School in Bow, East London, and more recently, London Dock.
