Tom is a landscape architect with over 12 years UK experience in a wide variety of landscape related projects. Tom has a Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture [Hons] from Ball State University, Indiana and moved to the UK in 2003. Tom joined Patel Taylor in 2015, where he leads the landscape design team providing a unique multifunctional service. In the past, Tom worked at Martha Schwartz Partners and Studio Egret West with creative design teams to implement imaginative landscapes worldwide. He works to ensure that the same placemaking strategy continues for Patel Taylor.
Since joining the practice Tom has worked on a wide range of different scale projects from 3,000 home masterplans to detailed planning applications for extensions. These include Ponton Road where vast brownfield sites are now being transformed to form a brand new residential and business quarter right in the heart of London, White City a 4.2 hectare site located opposite the former BBC Television Centre and Stephenson Street where a new green tapestry with a transformational linear park will help to reconnect the Lea Valley as a new city quarter.
