Vajramitra studied at Auckland University, New Zealand, gaining industry experience at a number of practices on domestic projects. He moved to London in 1987 to work for Sheppard Robson amongst other firms where projects included offices, student, residential and education buildings.
Vajramitra joined Patel Taylor in 1994 and worked on the Ayr Citadel project. He then worked for Nicholas Hare Architects from 1995 to 2003 on office developments for developers Rouse Kent and MEPC, various educational and healthcare projects as well as Guernsey’s new law courts.
Returning to Patel Taylor as senior architect in 2004, he has worked on a masterplan for St Paul’s School, infrastructure proposals for Silvertown Quays, mixed-use proposals in Battersea and the Greenwich Peninsula development. Vajramitra has led the Earls Court and Wembley masterplans, and is currently heading up the Shell Centre team.
